Assault Cases

Pahiatua, This Day,

At a sitting of the District Court, before Judge Haselden, William Beaufort and George Little, two youths, for assault on a young girl, were sentenced to six weeks' imprisonment in Wellington Gaol, the Judge stating that instructions would be given to the gaoler that both prisoners be kept separate, and apart from other prisoners.

For assault, John Folley was admitted to six months' probation, and ordered to pay £10 towards the expenses of prosecution.
