MASTERTON GASWORKS.

The monthly report on the Masterton Gasworks, presented by the manager at last night's meeting of the Council, showod the quantity of gas manufactured for the month to total 1,376,600 cubic feet, as against 1,205,000 cubic feet for the month of Sop-

tember last year, the increase being 171,000 cubic feet, or M'2o per cent. Gas made per ton averaged 10,018 cubic feet. Tie gas sold per meter was 1242,000 cubic feet, against 1,015,500 cubic feet for the corresponding month last year, representing an increase of 22.1 per cent. The revenue for the month amounted to £582 3s 3d, £48112s 10d being for gas, £38 10s 10d for residuals, and X-IC lGs 7d for fittings. Five new services were laid and seven new meters had been connected.
