WAIRARAPA INTERESTS.

[ParVuimentary Reporter.) {By Telegraph--Special to Daily Times.) Wellington, This Day. The petition of a number of fairly large shecpfarmers, who wish to be taken out of the Akitio County and added to the Masterton County, so that their rates may be spent on roads in which they are interested, was considered this morning. The committee before whom Mr Hogg appeared on behalf of the petitioners, found that the boundaries of counties can only be altered by a special Act of the General Assembly, as provided by section-17 of the Counties Act, 1880, or by the Governor-in-Council, on agreement between the parties as provided by section 30 of the Counties Act, 1880, and Amendment Act, 1895.
