MASTERTON A. AND P ASSOCIATION.

Monthly Meeting of Committee.

The monthly meeting of the General Committee of the Masterton A. and P. Association was held on Saturday afternoon. Mr R. Gray presided, and there were also present:—

Messrs J. D. Cruickshank, C. E. Daniell, J. Stuckey, J. C. Cooper, F. C. Lewis, T. P. Lett, A. G. Pilmer, Jos. Morris, J. P. Perry, J. Strang, W. Perry, W. McKenzie, W. D. Watson, J. McGregor, B. Rayner, D. Caselberg, R. Johnstone, D. McGregor, jun., J. F. Heckler, J. B. Moodie, J. C. McKillop, G. C. Summerell, and 0. C. Cooper.

The Canterbury A. and P. Association advised that complimentary tickets would be available for any member of the local Committee attending the Show on 6th, 7th, Sth, ancl 9lh November. It was decided to thank the Canterbury Association for the offer.

The Finance Committee reported the financial position as follows :—Credit balance Sept. Sth, £332 Gs Gd, expenditure for the month £63 9s lOd, receipts £1G 18s, leaving a balance of £378 18s 4d, minus outstanding cheques £45 10s. Accounts amounting to £30 Os 4d were passed for payment. The report was adopted. The report of the Experimental Committee as to the conditions for conducting experiments during the year was adopted. The President, Messrs W. Perry, D. McGregor, junr., B. Rayner, J. C. Cooper, and J. C. McKillop were appointed representatives from the local Association on the Committee.

Messrs W. Kummer (Opaki) and Mackay and Wishaw were elected members. Messrs G. F. Day and H. Munro, who are leaving the district, resigned membership.

It was decided to ask the Borough Council to form the footpath along the fence of the Showgrounds near and at the main entrance.
