Note. — Holiday Excursion Tickets to Opaki, from Cross Creek, Clareville, and intermediate stations, will not be available by Up Mail Train, nor from Opaki to Cross Creek, Clareville, and intermediate stations, by Down Mail Train. The tickets to Masterton will be available for break of journey at Opaki only ; those to Opaki at Masterton only. Return train leaves Opaki for Wellington at 5.30 p.m. Friday, 27th October, Cross Creek dep. 9.10 a.m., Featherston 10.3, Greytown 10.5, Carterton 10.41, Masterton 11.15, Opaki arr. 11.25. Return trains leave Opaki for Wellington at 5.5 p.m., and for Cross Creek at 5.30 p.m. On both days all trains will, if required, stop opposite Opaki Racecourse for passengers. "TfcJOTICE is hereby given that at a Special 13*1 Meeting of the Masterton Borough Council held on the 26th day of September, 1905, it was resolved (by way of Special Order) that the Masterton Borough Council make a By-law under " The Municipal Corporations' Act, 1900," the object and purport of which By-law are as follow :— Private Streets By-law, 1905, providing for width, levels, course, formation of footpaths and street, drainage, materials and workmanship, depositing of plans, and provision for deciding the maximum number of buildings to be erected and the minimum distance between dwellings. The said resolution will be submitted for confirmation to the Ordinary Meeting of the Masterton Borough Council to be held at the Council Chamber, Chapel-street, on Tuesday, the 24th day of October, 1905, at 7.30 p.m., at which meeting the coming into force of the By-law will be fixed. A copy of the proposed Special Order and By-law is deposited at the office of the Council, Chapelstreet, where the same will be open for inspection during office hours until the said confirming meeting is held. I\TOTICE i s hereby given that at a special J3I meeting of the Masterton Borough Council, held on the 26th day of September, 1905, it was resolved (by way of special order) that the Masterton Borough Council make a By-law under " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900," the object and purport of which By law are as follows :— Borough of Masterton Consolidated Bylaw, 1905— The By-law is divided into 13 parts, and is a re-making of the By-law of I 1904.' Part I. deals with streets, and pro- ! vides for porticos, signboards, street naming, storm water, footway crossings, scaffoldings, etc. Part 11. provides for all ' matters connected with drainage and sanitation, work, materials, notices, inspection, 1 and licensing. Part 111. provides for all matters connected with supply and use of water from the waterworks, work, materials, licensing, inspection, notice forms, _ etc. Part IV. deals with nuisances and sanitary t regulations. Part V. deals with buildings for public meetings. Part VI. regulates the nse of Library and Reading Room, issue of books, etc. Part VII. deals with prevention 5 of fire. Part VIII. contains regulations for management and use of the public park. Part IX. deals with the licensing of hawkers, ■ pedlers, etc. Part X. forbids the carrying, etc., of loaded firearms. Part XL provides ' for licensing of carriages, carts, etc., applications, forms, inspection, drivers, conductors general provisions and regulations and ," fees' Part XII. deals' with public billiard--1 rooms, licensing, etc. Part XIII. contains ' regulations and standing orders for Council and Committee Meetings, documents, com- " mon seal, minutes, etc. There is in addition > a repealing clause. The said resolution will be submitted for 3 confirmation to the ordinary meeting of the .
