The Hawke's Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society's Annual Spring Show Avas continued to-day. The weather was fine, in the morning, but rain came on about two o'clock. Nevertheless, the attendance was probably as large as has ever been seen on the ground

The Hon. J. D. Ormond was the most successful prize-taker in thoroughbred horses, and.' secured the championship with Sir Lancelot. Miss Sunderland's Mahomet, the winner of many 'prizes, again secured the awards for the best light weight hack and walking horse. Mr H. Hasseli's. Merry Thought was the best medium weight hack, and Mr G. L. Sunderland's Juggler the best heavy weight hack. Mr W. D. Watson's Yeast was awarded the prizes for the best mounted infantry horse and hunter, v

In the poultry classes Messrs W. Miller, W. A. Boyes, T. II Stewart, A. Ellingham, N. Gallien and G. D. Love were- most successful.

The dog entries were good, and Messrs McDonald (Collies), W. A. Smith (Fox Terriers), A. C. Howe (Cocker Spaniels), C. M. Whitington (English Setters), and Miss Jessie Hunter (Scottish Terriers) were the most successful entrants.

The native industries section was a very fine one, the display being exceptionally good. The competitions resulted as follows :— Leading and jumping competion—-Sergeant Ranby's squad (Feilding Mounted Rifles), 1; Sergeant McCormick (Hawke's Bay Mounted Rifles), 2; Corporal Finch (Waipukurau Troop), 3. Leaping Match—Miss Sunderland's The Sinner, 1; W. D. Watson's Yeast, 2 ; D. A. Bennett's Merrie Girl, 3.
