AUSTRALIAN CABLE ITEMS.
A south-west gale is blowing round about Sydney, at an early hour this morning, with squalls up to 71 miles an hour, accompanied by rain and a rough sea between Sydney and Tasmania.
The gale at Sydney has moderated. At the Rifle Association meeting in Sydney, Irvine's score in the King's Match was 93.
The New South Wales Labour Commissioner reports the labour market improving and the unemployed decreasing.
