AMERICAN DISASTERS.

{Received To-day, at 5.20 a.m ) New York, Last Night. Two explosions occurred at the Rand Powder Works at Unionstorrn, in Pennsylvania. Twelve bodies have been recovered and thirty-five are missing. Scores -were injured and ten buildings were reduced to matchwood. Buildings were wrecked within an area of a mile, and windows were broken within an area of seven miles. A grain elevator in Chicago, containing a million and a-half bushels, has been destroyed by fire. The damage is estimated at a million dollars.
