Canon Pollock, who left the Christchurch diocese about two years ago, in consequence of a disagreement with Bishop Julius relative to the collection of cathedral completion funds, has commenced a Supreme Court libel action against Bishop Julius, in consequence of an alleged libellous letter supposed to have been written and published by defendant. The matter came before Mr Justice Denniston in Chambers this morning, when application for leave to administer interrogatories was made on behalf of plaintiff. His Honor, after hearing argument, directed the matter to stand over till next Chamber day.
