Wellington, This Day

Following is the result of the competition by the North Island Volunteer corps, for prize medals for 1905 :—

■ Gold medal for the best shot in the North Island, Private A. L. Humphries, Taranaki Rifles, 55 points.

Gold and silver medal for second best shot in the North Island [No name telegrphed] 53 points.

Silver medal for best shot in the Auckland district, Private J. J. Comes, Ohinemuri Rifles, 51 points. ■

Silver Medal for best shot in Wellington district.—Sergeant E. Perrin, Palmerston North Rifles, 52 points.
