On and after Ist November mails will close at the Masterton Office as under :— For Wellington daily (Sundays excepted) at 6.15 a.m., 2.45 p.m., and 5 p.m. For offices south of Masterton at 6.15 a.m. For offices south of Masterton (excepting Clareyille, Dalefield, and Matarawa) at 2.45 p.m. For Clareville, Carterton, Greytowa North, and Featherston at 5 p.m. For Eketahuna, Pahiatua- and Woodville at 5.30 a.m., 12.30 a.m., and 4.45 p.m. For Mauriceville, Mangamahoe, Kopuaranga, Eketahuna and Pahiatua at 11 a.m. For Dann'evirfee, Palmerston North and intermediate offices to Auckland 5.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. For Napier, Waipawa, Waipukurau, Hastings and DannevirKe at 12.30 and 8.30 p.m. For Opaki, Kopuaranga, and all places north of Ma9terton at 12.30 p.m. For Wairere and Ihuraua Valley on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 5.30 a.m. For private bags, " Waihika," " Waihi," " Pukengaio," and "Ditton," on Tuesdays and Fridays at 5.30 a.m. , For Kurupuni daily at 1.20 p.m. For Homewood line, private bags, Tuesdays and Fridays at 6.15 a.m. For Tβ Nui and Oa&tlepoint line. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 6.15 a.m. For Lower Taueru on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 6.15 a.m. For Brancepeth Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 6.15 a.m. For Brancepeth, Stronvar, Glenlean, Toogood's mill, Puketiri, Fernyhurst and Te Parae Saturdays at 10.30 pm. For Bideford, Tanglewood and private bags, on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 1 p.m. For Waingawa and Te Whiti, Tuesdays and Fridays at 12.30 p.m. For Taratahi on Tuesdays and Fridays at 2.15 p.m. MASTERTON TELEGRAPH HOURS. The office hours for telegraph work, at Masterton, are from 9 a.m. to 5 p r m., and from 7 p.m. to midnight daily, Sunday excepted. Sundays from 5 to 5.31) p.m. Holidays from 9 am. to 10 a.m., and from 7 p.m. to midnight. Telephone Exchange is open from 8 a.m. to midnight daily, Sundays excepted, except Good Friday and Christmas Day, when the hours are 9 to 10 a.m. only. POSTAGE TO AUSTRALIA. The postage on letters to the Australian coionies has been reduced to one penny for each J ounce or fraction thereof.
