Kef erring to the recent sudden death, which occurred in London, of Mr D. 11. Quiet and unassuming in manner, his kindness of heart and generous disposition made him a great favourite, and none will miss his cheery presence more than his old friend and chief, Mr E. T. Doxat. Mr Kemp was formerly secretary of the Union Bank of Scotland, at Edinburgh, and resigned that position some ten years ago on being asked to undertake the management ot this old-established Australian company. Hβ was a justice of the peace, and a member of a number of societies, including the Eoyal Colonial Institute and the Australian Chamber of Commerce in London. His loss will be deeply felt." The remains of the de-ceased-gentleman were taken to Edinburgh for interment.
