The Berlin correspondent of the Morning Poet reveals an audacious war scare in the German capital, with a view to securing the augmentation of the German navy. Britain is. represented as threatening to attack if the navy is increased.
According to the correspondent's Mends, who have had information from high officials, the Kaiser mobilised the German fleet at Kiel.
Only King Edward's personal efforts averted war. The correspondent adds that several of the Kaiser's closest advisers encouraged ttie scare. All danger is now, however, averted, but the navy remains mobilised. ThePostf hopes the statements will be officially contradicted and disproved.
