HOSPITAL FLORAL FETE.
Meeting of Executive Com-
mittee.
A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Floral Fete was held last evening, in Messrs Gawith and Logan's office. Dr. McKibbin presided, and there were also present: Messrs F. Huno, D. K. Logan, D. E. Parton, D. A. Morton, A. D. Low and C. G. Dowries.
It was decided that the following items be included in the programme : —Gipsy tents, guessing competitions, hidden treasure competition, baby show, fishing pond, haunted house, volunteer competitions, men's hat-trimming and ladies' nail-driving competitions, needle and thread races, teams race for bicycles, menagerie race, spoon and petato race, Maypole dance and wand drill, schools tug-0 , -war, fancy dress football match (five men a-side), slow bicycle race, umbrella and cigar race on horseback, Maori haha by Europeans, shooting gallery, Kving Aunt Sally, and children's procession (each child representing a nursery rhyme).
Mr D. 3L Logan agreed to interview Mr A. W. Hogg, M.H.R., with a view to obtaining, with his assistance, marquees and tenfcs from the Government, for use at the fete. Mr J. B. Keith was appoiated treasurer.
It was decided that the Executive Committee should meet every Tuesday evening,"in Messrs Gawith. and Logan's office. The Sports Committee will meet on Thursday evening, at Mr J. B. Keith's office, and the General Committee .on Friday evening, at the Borough Council office.
