FLAXMILLERS' ASSOCIATION.

Palmerston N., Last Night,
At a meeting of the New Zealand Fiaxtnillers' Association, held here yesterday, the Secretary reported that the Association included twenty-four members. It was resolved to hold a conference of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, flax merchants, Secretary for Agriculture and the Association, to discuss the question of grading. Messrs A. Seifert, H. Austin, and 0. Gardner were appointed to represent the Association, It was decided to recommend to the conference that four samples of hemp be graded to bare grade, and kept at all places where hemp is graded, to guide graders in keeping the standard at the various places uniform; and that it is desirable that no changes in the standard of grades take place without first consulting the merchants and millers.
