London, Saturday.
The Daily Express states that during their interview in the cottage at Shinshi General Nogi admired General Stoessel's charger, and General Stoessel instantly begged him to accept it. General Nogi, however, declined to receive it as a personal gift, but gladly accepted it on behalf of the army., assuring General Stoessel that the animal would always be regarded as one of their proudest possessions.
