SLY-GROG SELLING.
( By Telegraph — Press Association). Asiiburton, Last Night.
Thomas Joseph Williams was fined £20 to-day for sly-grog selling. Tho defence was that he kept beer for his own use and that of his friends. Magistrate Wray, in giving judgment, said defendant was evidently in poor circumstances, and could not afford to pay 80s a week for beer. While there was no direct evidence ot sale, the circumstances were very suspicious.
