At Masterton : Mails for Wellington and intermediate offices close daily at 6.15 a.m. and 2.40 p m., and for Clareyille, Carterton, Grey town North, and Featherston, and Wellington at 4.45 p m., excepting for Dalefield, and Matarawa; for these oflices mails close at 8.15 a.m. only. The posting box is always cleared for letters and telegrams at opening of Office on week days and Sundays. Envelopes containing telegrams should be marked " Telegram." For Kurupuni daily at 12.30 p.m. For Waingawa, Tuesday and Friday at 12.30. For Te Whiti, Tuesday and Fridays at 12 30. For Eketahuna, Pahiatua and Woodville at 5.30 a.m., 11.15 a.m., and 4.45 p.m.daily. For Rangitumau, Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 11.15 a.m. For Mauriceville 11.15 a.m. daily. For Palmerston North and Wanganui at 5.30 a.m. and 11.15 a.m. daily. For New Plymouth and Auckland at 5.30 a.m. and 11.15 a.m. daily. For Napier and Gisborne at 11.15 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily. For Opaki, Dreyerton, Mangavnahoe, Hastwells and Alfredton at 5.30 a.m. and 11.15 a.m. daily. For Stronvar and Brancepeth at 10 p m. Saturday nights. For Brancepeth Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at (>.15 a.m. For Lower Taueru on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 6.15 a.m. For Te Nui, Whakataki, Ca&tlepoint on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 6.15 a.m. For Bideford and Tanglewood, on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 1 p.m. For Homewood and East Coast stations, also Wharearna, on Tuesdays aud Fridays at 6.15 a.m.
MASTERTON TELEGRAPH HOURS. The office hours for telegraph work, at Masterton, are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and from 7 p.m. to midnight daily, Sunday excepted. Sundays from 5 to 5.30 p.m. Holidays from U a m. to 10 a.m., and from 7 p.m. to midnignt. Telephone Exchange is open from 8 a.m. to midnight daily, Sundays excepted, except Good Friday and Christmas Day, when the hours arc 9 to 10 a.m. only. POSTAGE TO AUSTRALIA. The postage on letters to the Australian coionies has been reduced to one penny for oach i ounce or fraction thereof.
