THE WAIRAU MASSACRE.
Death of two Survivors.

Mr John Gibbs, known as " Soldier Gibbs," having been in the 12th Foot, died at Wakefield to-day in his hundredth year. He arrived in 1844, and was with Capt. England, who was killed in the Wairau massacre. The death is also recorded of Mr Wm. Longer, another survivor of the massacre, aged 84.
