(Received Last Night, at 11..52 p.m.) London, Yesterday.

The harvest is in full swing ia the South of England, but the crops generally are very light.

The European markets are firmer, owing to reports from the United States. Practically there will bo no surplus for

export.

Cargoes of wheat arc quiet-. Australians sold at 31s HA to 31s 3d. New Zealand now crop is satisfactory. There is a quiet sale for Tuscan at 31s 6J to 31s 8:1 per quarter.

Flour is firm. Australian patent flouv, 23s 6d to 243.

Oats arc firm, but with little demand. Australian and Algerian on the passage are offered at 153 3d.

Beans are firm. Now Zealand, 29d. Victorian dry peas, 25s 6d. The American visible supply of wheat and flour is 19,515,000 bushek

Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., have received the following -cablegram from their London office, dated 11th inst: —" Since the date o£ our last telegram Danish butter is higher, by three kroner (about 3s 4d) per cwt. The market is firm."
