A Disabled Barque.

A Long Drift.

Towed to Lyttelton.

(By Telegraph — Press Association). Lyttelton, Last Night. The French barque Boieldien, 2i>l6 tons, bound from Sydney to Falmoutb, with a cargo of wiieat, was picked up by the steamer Ivittawa, thirty miles northeast by east from Lyttelton Heads. The barque had her rudder carried away, and was towed mo Lyttelton by the Kittawa after great difficulty, the barque being almost unmanageable. Three tow-lines were carried away before the vessel was brought into the stream.. The barque loft Sydney on Brd June for Falmouth for orders, and when about fifty miles southward of New Zealand rive weeks ago her rudder-post snapped, and the vessel has been drifting ever since then. Five temporary rudders were rigged at different times, but were all carried away. The vessel was first sighted by the Toroa from the Chatham Island, was taken in tow by the Kittawa at 3.001P , p.m. yesterday.
