The China steamer brings news that Judge Robmson, Chief Judical Officer of New Guinea, sliot himself this morning and died in two minutes. No particulars are to hand. Deceased was a son of Archdeacon Robinson, of New Zealand.
Later advices state that Captain Barton, who is investigating the late Merrie England affray with the Goarobasi natives, discovered Judgo Robinson on Sunday near his residence with a bullat wound in his head, and a revolver by his side. He died in fifteen minutes without speaking. It is believed that Judge Robinson left a written statement regarding the Merrie England aflray, Captain Barton states that when conversing with Judge Robinson some time previous the latter appeared to bo in good spirits.
