"HARVEST."
Our readers will notice by our advertising columns that the Daunevirke Dramatic Society will stage the emotional drama, " Harvest," in the Town Hall, Masterton, on Easter Monday night. The Dannevirke papers speak in high terms of praise of the play—the acting, staging and sconery being especially good; and few, if any, amateur performances havo been produced in Dannevirke with such pronounced success. The crowded audience were met with a delightful surprise; the play went with a swing and without a hitch from start to finish, and applause was frequent and spontaneous, and several bouquots of flowers were thrown on the stage as compliments to the powerful and realistic acting of the ladies; Miss Morecroft (Brenda Marston) and Miss Wright (Lettice Vane) being especially effective. The play will be produced in a capable and businesslike manner, and the Masterton theatre-goors can confidently look forward to a thorough good evening's enjoyment on Monday, April 4th. The prices are 3s, 2s and ls; box plan at J. P. Elliot's, Queen-street, Masterton.
