At present only four or five of the shooting men invited to join the Bisley team have intimated their willingness to go. Others have either not replied or have asked for a day or two in which to endeavour to make arrangements for the trip. The following, it is understood, is the team chosen, the word in parenthesis indicating the position of the shot at the recent shooting at Trentham : — Ching, Nelson (champion) ; Irvine, Nelson (second) ; Domigan, Gore (third) ; Sandford, Christchurch (fourth) ; Wilson, Petone (fifth) ; Turnbull, Opaki (seventh) ; Drummond, Dannevirke (eighth) ; H. Hawthorne, Wellington (ninth) ; Shanks, Gore (fifteenth) ; King, Opaki (twenty-first) ; A. Ballinger, Wellington (twenty-third) ; Smaill, Kaitangata (twenty-eighth). Wilson, of Petone, is not likely to go, and Private Cox, Auckland (thirty-fourth) may possibly go in his place. The above is the probable team, but is subject to alteration, as some of those invited may not be able to get away. McKenzie, Oamaru, may yet get a place.
