FORMER WAR CORRESPONDENTS.

Suitable Memorial Tablet.

Steps are being taken by the English Institute of Journalists to perpetuate the memory of those war correspondents, both English and colonial, who lost their lives in the service of their journals in the South African campaign. The committee appointed for the purpose, which includes a large number of the correspondents who took part in the campaign, has been fortunate in securing the approval and material assistance of the dean and chapter of St. Paul's Cathedral, by whom a site has been granted in the crypt, opposite the memorial to the Soudan correspondents, and next to the Archibald Forbes tablet. Mr W. Goacombe John, A.E.A., has undertaken to prepare the design.
