Nelson, Tbis Day. It is suspected that there is a case of small-pox at Wakefield. Wellington, This Day. On the steamer Takapuna, on Saturday, two members of the crew developed symptoms of the illness preceding the rash incidental to small-pox. Dr. Mason ordered them to Somes' Island. The men's berths on tho steamer were thoroughly fumigated, and everyone on board vaccinated. The cases are not serious, and it is hoped that they will not provo to be small-pox. Invercargill, This Day. An Orcpuki resident, named Alexander Forbes, has been isolated. Tbe doctors pronounce the case to be an abnormal rash, or severe chicken-pox.
