BRITAIN'S BEST BICYCLE.

The Rudge-Whitworth.

The cycle has long since ceased to bo the plaything of the rich; it has become the necessity of the middle and workingclass. It has increased the range of action of those who formerly were unable to bear the cost of keeping horses to take them to their daily occupation, and even with the women of the community it is becoming more and more indispensible. Bicycles can now be obtained on such easy terms of payment that it is practically within the reach of all to possess one; it it a more perplexing matter to decide upon what ciake of machine to purchase. A machine which has proved itself thoroughly reliable, and one made on the very latest principles, is the Budge-Whitworth. Its great characteristic is that it combines the maximum of strength with a minimum of weight. It is built at the great Coventry works, which employs over 1400 hands, and has an annual output of 30,000 bicycles.

It is only a few weeks ago since Mr Beynolds, the New Zealand representative of this fine machine established permanent agencies throughout the Wairarapa, the Masterton branch being opened within the last two months. But the merits of the Eudge-Whit worth have long been recognised, and it is not surprising to hear that record sales have been made. During the past month Mr Chas. Pook, the popular and enterprising manager of the Masterton branch, has quitted over thirty, new machines, and before the summer months have passed is confident of doubling that number. In order to extend the facilities for the purchase of these bicj'cles the firm has introduced an exceptionally easy payment system; a few shillings per week is a judicious expenditure in securing one of these splendid companions. The merits of the Eudge-Whitworth need not be referred to here, it is a machine with a world-wide reputation, built on scientific lines by English expert o'-iz-ms. Those intending to purchase a bicycle should call upon Mr C. Pook. whose premises are opposite Mr Holluway's butcher's shop, and inspect the liudge-Whitworths in stock.
