Yesterday (Friday) afternoon word came through that a house had been burnt to the ground at Kaitawa; also the big bridge over the Tiraumea river, leading to the township, has gone ; and that the creamery waa in great danger. Settlers are fighting the flames. Unless rain fall further loss and damage will bp recorded.
