Paris, January 29.

M. Leontieff, a Russian explorer, whose mission to Abyssinia in 1901 created considerable excitement, has been awarded forty-five thousand francs damages against the Paris Biograph Mutoscope Company, for refusing to take pictures representing Menelik's Court. Leoutieff gave Menelik two quickfirers and forty thousand cartridges to induce him to pose for the pictures.
