Masterton Horse Sale.

Messrs Lowes and lorns, Ltd., report having held their Masterton horso sale on Saturday, 31st October, when a very large entry was submitted, thero being over one hundred horses offered. There was a large attendance of buyers, and outside districts were well represented, there being buyers from Palmerston North, Feilding, Hawke's Bay and Wellington. The bulk of the entry changed hands under the hammer, bidding being spirited throughout for all good sorts. Following were the prices realised : — Heavy draught geldings up to £61; draught mare 3up to JEGO; unbrokon draught geldings to £50 ; unbroken draught fillies to £51 (for extra good sorts); medium draughts, £40 to £50; lighter and inferior sorts, £25 to £35 ; brake horses up to £31; light harness horses up to £28; good hacks, £15 to £25 ; lighter hacks, £6 to £11.
