Rain fell during the night, consequent ly the track was heavy this morning.

Sojourner, with a light weight in the saddle, covered a mile in lmin 45|sec, the last five furlongs being compassed in lmin 6_-sec. He finished well. Flagship did a good gallop of 6 furlongs in lmin 20|sec, and Fishery skipped over half-a-mile in 52sec.

Wakeful, The Idler, Emir, and Hauturier will probably be scratched during the day for the Cup.
