FOOTBALL.

Cabmen v. Carriers.

The benefit football match and tug-of-war, Cabmen v. Carriers, the proceeds from which are to be given to the Davis family, takes place on the Park Oval, tomorrow afternoon. The teams are evenly balanced for the tug-of-war, but the " books" favour the chances of tho* Carriers in tbe football struggle. The rules under which the match will be played aro simple in the extreme, and if they are strictly adhered to, there is every chance of the match ending in a draw. A collection will be taken at tho Park gates, and it is hoped that subscriptions will amount to a fair sum.
