GREYTOWN-WAIRARAPA COOPERATIVE CO., LTD.

The following is the seventh annual report to be presented at the annual general meeting:—The Directors, in submitting the annual report and balancesheet for tho past year have pleasure in stating that owing to tbe high prices ruling for cheese in the Home markets during the season, the returns to milk suppliers were the highest recorded since the establishment of the Company. During the months of September.and May suppliers were paid advances to three pence per gallon, as against two pence per gallon during the rest of the season, and the Directors again recommended for consideration at the annual meeting that similar amounts be paid out during the coming year. The quantity of milk received during the season was 249,100 gallons of 1011)8 per gallon, and the amount of cheese sent out from the faotory was 248,8891bg. The amount paid to suppliers w»S £5092 ss.

Of the total output 72} tons were con. signed to England, the balance being sold locally.

Mr H. Adamson continued to act as manager during the season, and the whole of the cheese shipped was classed first grade by the Government Grader.

Messrs E. B. Hawkins and J. Thompson, the retiring Directors, are eligible for re-election.

Shareholders will also be called upon to appoint an auditor.
