(From Our Own Correspondent.) The Borough Council has received advice that the iron pipes for the highpressure water for Carterton have been shipped from London. The Council have arranged for a 75 per cent, deposit on the cost,
Very shortly proposals will be submitted to the burgesses for a loan foe drainage purposes, « . The now Post Office will be out of the hands of the contractors this niorith. There will be some ceremony at the opening, to which Ministers of the CrownViU b'g £'. invited.
Wool returns to hand by recent mails are highly satisfactory. The returns in many instances give tho proceeds as much higher than tho advances made.
