Auger, winner of tiie last Austral Wheel Race, is still at (ho head of the list of Australian riders with £519. .His records are 4 firsts, 3 seconds, 4 thirds. Walker is second with £533, 25 firsts, 9 seconds and 5 thirds. Morgan comes third with £226 10s, Forbes (N.Z.) fourth with £209, and Major Taylor fifth with £160 10s.
Arthur Smyth continued bis record breaking at the Cricket Ground on Thursday and Saturday last, says tho Sydney Referee. On tho former day he beat bis own previous best amateur figures for Australia for ten miles, paeou, by luiin Usee, despite a strong wind. The figures he registered wore:—l mile, _mm 12se.c; '2 miles, 4niin 14 3-sscc ; 3 miles, Ginin 17 3-sscc; -Imilcy, t-.mii 17 l-sscc ; 5 miles, lOmin Usee; 6 miles, 12min 4scc; 7 miles, 11-iinin 57 3-sscc; 8 miles, 15 mm 49 5-sscc; 9 miles, 17min 39sec ; 10 miles, l.hnin 23scc.
