He was interviewed by a representative deputation, consisting of Canterbury members, local bodies, and Trades and Labour Council in regard to land settlement in Canterbury. The Trade Council complained of sale of Crown lani(s in 'the Colony. The Premier referred to the purchase of the Highfield estate, and promised shortly to visit the Peninsula to see if any land is available there.
