(Received To-day, at 10.22 a.m.) Sydney, This Day. / Sir Joseph Ward, interviewed, gave a glowing account of New Zealand's position. He says that every test that is usually taken to ascertain the financial position of a country, if applied to New Zealand, would show that the possibilities of a "slump" beginning do not exist. There is no dearth of employment, the revenue is increasing, reductions in taxation are and the savings of the people enormously.
