Notice of Discontinuance of
Contract
(Received To-day, at 5.50 a.m.) London, March 3
Tho Marquis of Londonderry, Post-master-General, stated in tho House of Commons, that notico had been given to tho Peninsular and Orient Companies to terminate the mail contracts to India, the. East and Australia at tho end 1905. Tho Government were studying future roquiroments, and would give its decision at tho earliest possible moment.
