MASTERTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
Special Meeting , ,
A special meeting of tho Mastorton School Committee was held in the Technical School last evening. Mr E. MeEvvcu occupied tho Chair, and thero wore also present—Messrs J. Carpenter, H. O'Leary, J. Pauling and J. C. Ewington.
Correspondence wa3 read with regard to Mr Smith, teacher of the secondary classes at tho Masterton District High School, having received another position,
his place being thereby rendered vacant, A telegram was received from the Education Board, stating that Mr E. G, Morris had been selected.
Mr O'Leary moved, and Mr Pauling seconded, " That tho receipt of tho telegram be acknowledged, and that tho Committee is of opinion that fresh applications should be called for the position, as the number of pupils attending tho secondary classes of tho school has increased since the previous applications woro called." On being put to the meeting the resolution was unanimously carried.
This concluded tho business, and the neeting adjourned.
