Wellington Stock Quotations.
Better prices than last week's were obtained at Johnsonville salo on Tuesday, an increaso of about Is 0d per 1001b boing obtained. A "Wellington butcher declared that tho fat bullocks presented were the plainest lot entered this season, and yet the average prico obtained was 26s por 1001b. There was no keenness of bidding, and a number of bullocks failed to • bring tho reservo set upon them. Altogether somo 70 bullocks were offored, tho prices per beast ranging from £7 17s 6d to £9 12s 6d, a lino of four bringing the latter price. A barren cow brought- £9 ss, and a small cow in calf was passed in at £'d 12s 6d, the owner declaring he wanted £& 10s. Some 800 fat sheep, of great variety of cross— Leicester, Lincoln, Eoniney Marsh and Merino—were ofl'ered. Two pens of owes
brought 14s lid per head, and another pen of 10 ewos brought 11s 5d per head. Two pens of wethers realised 16s sd, two other pens 16s 3d, and yet another pen 16s 2d.
