RAILWAY FATALITIES.
Sad Death of a Fireman
A sad accident, which terminated fatally, occurred this morning on the Waipukurau-Napier train. From the
particulars available, we learn that a young man named Arthur Wellington, whose parents reside and are well-known in Mastcrton, who was employed in the capacity of stoker, fell off the engine at Te Auto, where water was being obtained. The unfortunate young fellow sustained very serious injuries to one of his legs and died before reaching Hastings.
