A Novel Proposal. Tho proposal to organiso a New Zealand Band is being energetically pushed forward by tho promoters, Messrs J. C. Morey and D. McKinnon Bain. Tho schemo is to raise .&JOOO in X'lo shares, the Band to bo thoroughly representative of the various parts of tho Colony, and the profits of their performances at Homo and in Australia aro to bo divided amongst tho subscribers, in proportion to tho number of shares taken up by them. Messrs Moroy and Bain report that they have met with very encouraging success in tho North, and thoy feel* confident that the scheme will be heartily taken up by iho public. Messrs Morey and Bain will be in Masterton at tho latter ond of tho week. Intending shareholders are requested to lcavo their names at tho Bank of Australasia.
