During the past few days the premises occupied by Chinese have been broken into by burglars, and in each case what money could be found was stolen. [What a remarkable fcaWhen the Mararoa, which arrived yesday from Sydney, was ten miles outside Port Jackson Heads, six stowaways were discovered. The steamer returned, and the men wore put ashore by the tug-boat. Later, two additional stowaways were discovered. The men are supposed to bo making their way back from South Africa. Wellington, This Day. F. T. Moore, who pleaded guilty to writing a threatening letter to the ActingPremier, has been further remanded till Friday for medical examination.
