Telcgraplir-Special toD ail? Times). Featherston, This Day. A meeting of S towards of tho Wairarapa Eacing Club was held on Thursday afternoon. Only business of a routine nature was transacted. Two new members was elected, and jockey's licenses wero granted to A. McCann and V. Cox. Tho annual social in connection with the Oddfellows' Lodge was held in the Town Hall on "Wednesday ovoning, and proved a great success. Visitors wero present from all parts of tho district, and a most enjoyable time was spent. After the transaction of business at the Eacing Club meeting on Thursday afternoon, tho Chairman of Stewards (Mr W. E. Bidwill) was presented with a beautiful photograph containing a view of the Club's course and photos of President, vice-Presidents, and Stewards handsomely framed. The presentation . was made by Mr J. W. Card, and Mr Bidwill feelingly responded, after which the health of the Chairman was drurt!* with bumpers of champagne.
