Practical Measures in New South Wales.
(Received August 23,10.5 a.m.) Sydney, This Day. Tho Federal Government, having refused to suspend the fodder duties, the Premier offers his services as head of the Government, and an experienced commercial man, to the pastoralists. He will purchase for them in the best market and will charter steamers for the carriage of all fodder required without charging any commission. He states that his offer means that stock-owners will get fodder practically at cost price. He estimates that at least £100,000 worth of fodder will be required weekly. Tho movement in favour of suspension of fodder duties or granting a concession to assist in tho importation of fodder, is again being vigorously demanded in all parts of the Stato.
