MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Adjourned Meeting,

Tho adjourned meeting of the Masterton Borough Council was held last night. Present —-His Worship the Mayor (Mr P. L. Hollings) and Cts J. C. Ewington, Pi. K. Jackson, J. A. Ecnall, E. G.Eton, D. Caselbcrg, W. Morris, E. E. Chamberlain, J. Elliott and J. Hessey.

It was decided, on the motion of the Mayor, to undertake the work of installing a gas service to a hall situated in a right-of-way off Dixon-streot, provided Mr L. J. Hooper contributes half the cost as be had offered to do in a letter to the Council,

The report of the Gas Committee was read and adopted.

Accounts amounting to £780 were recommended for payment.

On tho motion of Cr Hessey, Cr Caselberg's name was added to the Finance Committee.
