Proposed Royal Visit to Ireland.
: King Edward VII. lias postponed bub nob abandoned his proposed visib bo Ireland. Presumably he will make the visit with the Queen in 1903. The King has his casble in Scotland, private (Balmoral) us well as official (Holyrood), and it seems bub fair that Ireland should be placed on tlie same footing, and the title of "Kingof Great Britain and Ireland " given a better significance. The Royal visits to Ireland for the last 800 years are singularly few, as will be seen from the list:— HENRY ll.—Oct. 18, 1171—March 12, 1172. JOHN.-Jiinelf..-Aug. 24,1210.
