Mortality in the Concentration

Camps

London, January 18. Out of 17,688 men, 42,905 women and 56,424 children in the Boer concentration camps during December, 160 men, 453 women and 1767 children died. [During October and November the combined mortality in the concentration camps was 288 men, 761 women and 4904 children. During September, the «i; deaths numbered 2411, including 1964 children. Tho total mortality for the four months will, therefore, have been 10,754. including 8635 children.]
