CASTLEPOINT ROAD BOARD.
A meeting of the Hoard was held on Saturday last. Present, the Chairman, and Messrs Austin and Langdon, The minutes of the previous meeting were rend and confirmed.
Correspondence was read from Mr McLachlan, reporting that No. 1 and i t'onl raids, Mungapufupurn-rond were completed.
From Mr Iverins, applying to be relieved from maintenance of road after eontraets were completed. From the Bank of New Zealand, allowing temporary accommodation. From the Treasury, applying for newspapers and speeial order. From the same, with account lor interest due on .Ist February. From the County Clerk, re the Board taking over the Te Nui to Manawa secof the County road and maintaining it as a district road. From (lie Audit olliee. with account for auditing Board's accounts,
Resolved; That the consideration of taking over the section of County road from Te Nui lo Manawa be deferred until nest meeting. That a copy of the special order be furnished to the Treasury. That Mr Kerins he paid part of the moneys due, pending the receipt of the Government grants. That the road from the post office to the hotel in Te Nui, be metalled and repaired.
That the Te Nui Valley road bo prepared for tho metalling to be dono by the Government.
Accounts amounting to £l3O IDs Id were passed for payment and the meeting adjourned.
