(RcceM December 28,0,30 u.m.) Sydney, December 27, lu view of the plngtio outbreak at Noumea tbe municipal authorities are cleansing the slums. Tbe British Consul at Noumea has wired that the disease exists in a severe form. There have been eight more oases and five deaths since yesterday. No deaths have occurred amongst the white patients, who are progressing favourably, Tbe buildings in the infected locality are being demolished, and the place disiufected. Business is at a standstill.
